As identified in the Northern Wasco County Park and Recreation District’s Master plan, the current baseball and softball complex at Kramer Field is in need of updating to bring it to ADA compliance and add modern amenities. The proposed project is to enable development of a sports complex in the heart of The Dalles along River Road. The new Kramer Field would move to about 35 acres of undeveloped land which Wasco County received through the Strategic Investment Program (SIP) agreement.
Community partners have also identified this land as an opportunity to support expansion of recreation opportunities through new fields, additional uses like soccer, pickleball and tennis courts, a pump track, a playground, walking path and picnic space as well as RV sites that welcome more of the community and our visitors to use the facility for physical activity and recreation.
